Importing your Apple Music streaming history requires stats.fm Plus/Pro and an active Apple Music subscription.
Which app you should be using
Before you start, make sure you're using the right app for your situation:
- If you only use Apple Music, you should be on stats.am, our separate app for Apple-Music-only accounts. stats.am is only available on iOS.
- If you use both Apple Music and Spotify (or you're on Android), you should be on the main stats.fm app. Sign in with your Spotify account first, then connect Apple Music from inside the app. One Plus/Pro subscription covers both.
If you've made it this far and Apple Music is connected to your stats account, you're in the right place — continue below.
1. Request your data from Apple
- Go to privacy.apple.com
- Click "Get a copy of your data"
- Select only "Apple Media services"
- Scroll down and click the blue "Continue" button
- A "Choose a maximum file size" option will appear. You can leave it at the default and click the blue "Complete request" button
2. Turn on Sync streams to avoid gaps
While you're waiting for Apple to prepare your data, enable sync in the stats.fm app so new streams keep being tracked in the meantime.
In the app, go to Settings → Connections and turn on Sync streams. This way, anything you listen to during the wait period gets captured automatically, and your imported history will be complete when you upload the file.
3. Wait for your data
Apple files typically take about seven days to arrive, though it can sometimes take a few extra days.
4. Download the files
When your data is ready, you'll get an email with a link to download a .zip file containing your Apple Media services data.
Never share your data files with others. They may contain personal information, depending on what Apple included.
5. Import your files
You can import on the mobile app or through the web at stats.fm/import.
You have two options:
- Upload the full ZIP file and let stats.fm extract the right file automatically
-
Manually upload the
Apple Music - Play History Daily Tracks.csvfile, which is the specific file inside the ZIP that stats.fm uses
Both work. Uploading the full ZIP is easier if you're unsure which file to pick.
If a file import fails, try uploading it again. If it still doesn't work, see our import troubleshooting guide.
6. You're done
You can now view your full listening history, exact play counts, and the deeper stats that come with imported data. Your future streams will keep syncing automatically as long as your Apple Music subscription stays active.
