stats.fm tracks every song you stream so you can see exactly what you've been listening to, when, and for how long — in much more detail than Spotify or Apple Music show you natively.
Recently played
Your recently played section shows your most recent streams in real time as you listen. Each entry shows the track, artist, when you played it, and how long you listened for.
Streaming history
Your streaming history goes beyond just recent listens. With a free account, you can see history from when sync started tracking your account. With Plus/Pro and an imported file, you can see your full lifetime listening history — every stream from when you first started using Spotify or Apple Music.
Why some streams might not show up
stats.fm filters out a few types of streams from your stats to keep them meaningful:
- Tracks you skipped
- Streams shorter than 30 seconds
- Local files and podcasts (since Spotify and Apple Music don't share data about these)
These streams are still saved but hidden from your visible stats.
Why your stats might not match what you actually listened to
A few common reasons:
- Spotify's private session is enabled — these streams aren't shared with stats.fm
- You were listening offline — only the last ~50 offline streams are recovered when you come back online
- Sync is not enabled — without sync, new streams aren't being tracked
- You skipped the track or listened under 30 seconds — these get filtered out
- There's a temporary delay or outage on Spotify's side — usually resolves within a few hours
If your stats are missing more than what's explained above, submit a ticket and we'll take a look.
