stats.fm takes your privacy seriously. This article gives you a quick overview of how your data is handled and points you to the right resources if you need more detail or want to take action.
What stats.fm stores
To provide the features in the app, stats.fm stores:
- Your account information (name, username, email, profile picture)
- Your streaming history — both what's synced from Spotify or Apple Music and what you've imported
- Your stats.fm activity — top lists, listening patterns, friends, and other in-app interactions
For the full details on what's stored, how it's used, and how long it's kept, see our privacy policy.
Your privacy settings
You can control what's visible on your stats.fm profile and to other users from inside the app under Settings → Privacy. From there you can:
- Make your profile public or private
- Choose whether you appear on Top Listeners (Plus/Pro feature)
- Control what your friends see in the social feed
Requesting your data
If you'd like a copy of the data stats.fm has stored about you, submit a ticket and let us know. We'll handle the request in line with applicable privacy regulations.
For requests involving an email address, please send the request from the email address linked to your stats.fm account so we can verify your identity. We can only process data requests from the verified account owner.
Deleting your account
If you'd like your stats.fm account and associated data deleted, submit a ticket from the email address linked to your account, and let us know you'd like to delete it.
A few things to know before deleting:
- Deletion is permanent. Once your account and data are deleted, they can't be restored.
- Active Plus/Pro subscriptions are not automatically canceled. If you have a recurring subscription, you'll need to cancel it through the App Store or Google Play directly to avoid future charges.
- Lifetime purchases are not refunded when an account is deleted.
